Sunday morning. A community park in the city in the bay area.
Some people are passing by in their cars, near the park, to find the parking. Some are slowing down their vehicle speed, to quickly glance the park activities, without being the witness and participator for today’s fun in the park.
So many people in the park. Everyone sees to have some different expectations. I am just sitting at a bench and observing the people. Trying to understand what is life for everyone. There are people of all the ages with different expectations from the park.
Some people are watching the birds and some are looking for the best place to sit. Some people are exercising. Some are interested in just peeping the activities of people around. Some are rushing to move faster to reach to the another place. Some are sitting on the benches and having the conversations. Some are walking too slow and some are walking with the speed as if almost running.Some are really running. Some people are biking. Some people are reading books. It’s also fun to just read the messages on people’s t-shirts. Many different messages. Some funny and some serious. Community workers around are trying to support all these people by maintaining the cleanliness of the park. At one side, it’s very interesting to watch the Chinese dance, performed by many people. Some people tend to slow down their walking and running speed, to observe the Chinese dance for few minutes. Somseemms to think it is a dance whereas some think it is a meditation.
Some older people are trying to rest and have fun in watching the scenarios. It seems like they are trying to reflect what happened in the life and as if they are trying to think the best and the worst moment of their lives. Some elders are walking together and discussing with each other about their lives.
Some kids are rushing towards the playgrounds. Parents roaming around with the kids. Kids are so attracted to playgrounds that they don’t want to go back home. It’s always so interesting to observe their energy level and the presence in the current play activities. Many of these kids have to reach school next day but they are not bothered about tomorrow. Many parents have to begin the office work from tomorrow and they seem to be talking about it with other peers. Some are trying to peep on their mobiles, to have a glance of work emails. Some parents are trying to observe other parents, to become a friend. Some are trying to convince their kids to not to try too much exhausting and risky play steps in the park. Some are promoting them to go beyond the capacity, to try out. Some kids are swimming in the swimming pool.
Some people are walking with their dogs. Some dogs are small and some are big. Some organizations are advertising their activities for the social benefits.
A Fountain is flowing the water full speed on top with all the hope to let the top droplet reach the sky but it’s failing again and again. Still, it is trying with the full speed as possible. Some people are celebrating birthdays in the park. Some people are joining the barbeque parties.
Trees around the park are trying to maintain the morning for some more time, by observing all sun rays within. Trees in the park are the silent observer of the situations. These trees are the witness of all the activities. But, it’s their nature to keep everything within themselves and not to share with anyone. All they share is good air, shadow, and greeneries around. These trees are good teachers of giving back to the society.
Older small buildings in the park are also witnessing their services to the society for years. A memorial place located at the side of the park is a great symbol of the respect to the veterans. It’s fun to watch people reading details of the veterans on this memorial place.
It’s always fun watching all the activities of people in a park.
