Writing daily: How to find time to do activities daily? There are many theories available on the internet that suggest how to find time to do activities. Some examples are:
- Get up in the morning and do it
- Find few minutes in a day at any time to do the activity you desired to do
- Do that activity before sleeping
The problem with these approaches is that this approach is almost same for everything we want to do. For example, someone can use the same list for exercise, reading, writing, or any other task. How to stick to one task out of all important tasks?
The solution is a magical word: Prioritization. If we get five minutes and want to do something, what are we going to pick in those five minutes? Reading or Writing or Exercise or something else? We need a more robust pre-planned list. If we are waiting in a queue, can't exercise, can do the reading. If we are stuck in the traffic and driving, can do listening only. If we are sitting, can do writing. Running a default list of items as per context is necesary, to utilize instant time breaks. Else, that time may be wasted in running the priority list to decide what to do.
To have a clear list of how we will utilize put give time, we need to have a clear understanding of what we want to do. First, we need to ask ourselves, what we want to do in the day or a week? Then, here is a draft list of items that can be pre-planned and be ready at any time:
- If you have 15 minutes in the day, what planned activity will you do in the priority?
- If you have 5 minutes in the day, what planned activity will you do in the priority?
- If you wait in the queue for your turn, what planned activity will you do that time to utilize the opportunity of wait time?
- If you are stuck in the traffic, what planned activity will you do?
